FIFTY NINE ✖ VOICE/SPAM
[Warden Filter + Doyle - backdated to After Alex's Post]
I want to make one thing explicitly clear: Ben was not responsible for the attack on Dr. Kozak. He's been thoroughly cleared, and it's fairly evident that someone is trying to frame him for the act. Rhade and several other people are investigating the matter thoroughly, and if anyone has any further information, we would appreciate hearing it.
[And anyone who goes after Ben anyway will have quite a bit of hell rained down on them. B(]
[CTS Spam for Erik, Jean and Alex]
[Charles has been taking preparations for port very seriously. Probably borderline obsessively seriously, and although there's a vague part of him that knows it's not healthy to throw yourself into something like this this hard, he's largely ignored it, because he'll be damned if the Admiral's vacation destinations catch him off guard again.
The four of them have been training in the CTS almost every morning since the idea was proposed, and while Charles initially regretted being so gung ho about doing it this early (and might have required some nagging to actually get out of bed on the first day), he's adapted and taken anything that gets thrown at them in stride.
Including, apparently, when the CTS decides to give them a scenario out of a B-horror movie, because about fifteen minutes into the simulation, the burnt out wasteland they found themselves in was suddenly populated by quite a few - well. They looked like zombies, and Charles hoped to God wherever they were going wasn't actually going to be a place like this.
It was still disorienting to not be able to use his telepathy to communicate and keep track of everyone, but he was trying to adjust, and he glanced behind him quickly to judge how far ahead of their opponents they were.]
They've definitely spotted us, we should get moving.

That don't make any sense though.

The visions normally aren't that far off, this isn't me sayin' I want Ben to be guilty. I don't I'm just at a loss.

I just hope that I didn't unknowingly set off a witch hunt.
Private
He's got a very good group of people looking out for him. Even if anyone attempts it, they won't get very far. And it isn't as if you did it intentionally.
Private
That's good to know, I don't want nothin' to happen to the guy. It's true but it doesn't mean I don't think part o' the blame falls on me even accidentally.

[He glanced back as well, then forward, scanning the way ahead.]
I'm guessing hiding's probably not the best option here. But we can probably outrun them.

It's exhausting, physically and mentally, but in a satisfying sort of way. She's going to push herself and she's going to make it count and no one is going to get captured or tortured or killed.
She meets Alex's eyes and nods.]
I think that's our best bet. We can't take all of them. [A slight frown.] Maybe if we split up...
spam
If we split up, we're that much farther from whoever may need help. We need higher ground.

Still. They were sort of scraping the bottom of the barrel here, and he tried not to worry too much about it. They would figure something out. There was no guarantee they'd have much to defend themselves with in port, either.] The buildings are on higher ground, and they may have something we can use in them.
[It's a suggestion, not an order, because he still doesn't really know what he's doing in a lot of ways.]

Buildings it is.
[He starts off, taking point because, other than maybe Erik, he's the strongest of them without powers. He keeps the other three in his peripheral vision, though, refusing to get too far ahead. No splitting up.]

She was hoping they wouldn't find interference, but - ]
There's something moving in that alley! [She's too far away to see, and they're obscured in the shadows between the buildings.]

Just because someone can do something doesn't mean they will. That should be basic sense.
