I understand. Sitting in a hospital bed isn't exactly the best place to feel as if you're making good use of your time. How's Reaver been?

...mostly. He actually had a bit of a go at Morgana for killing me, it turns out. [Archive reading yaay.] I was...surprised.

Mozenrath took her to Zero. He told me he was going to take her magic, but...I asked him not to. I can only hope he doesn't do that to her.

Agreed. [Because that would just. Be bad. :c] I'm glad you see it that way.

I worry sometimes that he doesn't understand. I don't know that magic has ever been treated in his world like it is in ours - he has her file, he can read, but that's the same. But he said he'd think about what I said to him.

[... Guess who's tempted to talk to him about it BUT CONSIDERING HOW WELL THEY'VE GOTTEN ALONG SO FAR + people's reactions when he told them why Erik needed his powers back, he's not really optimistic about it going well and that might be taking meddling too far even for him.]

How is magic treated in his world? I'm afraid we haven't spoken often.

I know he has magic. And if sorcery in his world was treated how it is in Camelot, he wouldn't take it from her so easily. He couldn't.

She's the first person I've met from my future who hasn't had purely negative things to say about me, so I'm a bit excited, to be honest. It's nice to know at least someone's benefiting from what I set out to do.

We both know she isn't the only one, Charles. But - you're right. It must be wonderful to hear those things.

She's the only one I've ever met. [But he's saying it with a laugh, really, because well. It's the truth. And you won't fuck up. :C]

You might have to wait for the future to actually happen before you meet the rest of them. That's how it is for most people.

I'd be satisfied not hearing any more about my future, to be honest.

[That hits on a bad chord with Merlin what with what he's heard about his destiny of late, but his tone stays buoyant enough.]
