[Charles has holed himself up in his room with a couple books for a while, because man, that flood was intense and he needs a break from everyone. :| But he's had some time to wind down and feels like saying something, so, good afternoon, everyone.] I've always enjoyed watching people try to put science in perspective to things that are a bit easier for most people to wrap their mind around. It grounds it, and does make it a bit more approachable for those with only a casual interest in the subject.

Because while I could bore you all for hours with scientific jargon, it never hurts to have a few interesting factoids on hand to catch people's interest instead of just letting them drift off to sleep in the back of the classroom wishing they were still enjoying their lunch period.

For example, while there are differences in the total number of cells in a human body, the number should be around 100,000 billion, and if the entire DNA from all nuclei in the human body were to be arranged lengthwise, it would measure around 180,000 million kilometers. The DNA length would thus be a thousand times greater than the distance between the Earth and the Sun.

It's interesting to think about, that within each of us, there's something that - in theory, obviously - could stretch that far. [He's quiet for a moment, almost a little distracted or maybe considering switching off the feed before continuing.] If anyone has some interesting facts they'd be in the mood for sharing about their own world, I'd appreciate it. It doesn't have to be about science if there's something they'd rather discuss.

Did you care about leading Camelot at all before you found out who your father was?

I cared about taking the kingdom out of Uther's hands.

And would you have supported Arthur if that's the path he chose to take?

He doesn't understand magic, he's afraid of it, how can he respect those who use it?

He's never given me reason to think he doesn't respect me. And he'll never learn to respect other people like us as long as he's afraid, which he'll continue to be the longer you threaten the people he cares for.

Does he understand how amazing what you can do is? Does he even have an inkling?

[And a huff.] I'm not giving up my right so that he can learn not to be afraid. Not so that I can be again.

You wouldn't have to be, if you two could find a way to work together. Morgana, I honestly don't think Arthur has much issue with what you can do, but rather what you and others have done with it, and honestly I can't blame him. If I were a human, and all I saw of mutants or magic users were the ones who use their gifts to hurt others, I would be afraid for my family and my safety as well. It's not fair, but that's the reality we have to live with, and overcoming it isn't going to happen through intimidation and violence.

Do you honestly think I could walk into Camelot and tell him I was wrong, and that all I want now is to help him? No; it will be him or me in the end, and I refuse to see yet another Arthurian legend come to pass.

You can make a difference here. You know that. Our futures aren't set in stone.

And I've been told I've stood by and watched people abuse an innocent child. Now I have a very difficult time imagining myself anything like that, no matter what the circumstances, so you'll have to forgive me for not taking much stock in whatever people have told me about my future.

I would love nothing more than to write it off, Charles, but I can't. The details are mangled, but I know what I intend to do for Camelot, and those books say it's Arthur who accomplishes all my goals.

I don't want to hurt anyone innocent, but no one seems to think that I would be capable, or just, or good as Camelot's queen. I don't need to work with Arthur, I don't need his help, and I don't intend to just step aside!
