So, Charles can be kind of an invasive dick. He's gotten a little better about this, but I figured I could save everyone some time by putting up this meme about what is okay for Charles to do and what it is NOT okay for him to do to your character with his awesome mindreading abilities. So, if you could take the time to fill this out, I would be much obliged!


POWERS:
His particular mutation is telepathy, and while the full extent of his abilities are not explored in the film, he is shown to be a generally extremely powerful telepath, who can read minds, implant suggestions (telling people to sleep, for example), alter memories (either deleting them entirely or just blurring them, as Moira has flashes of what happened after he makes sure she won't be able to tell people about them) and control people for periods of time. While in the mind of another person, he can feel their pain and see and hear what they are going through. He can also pull up repressed memories, produce psionic blasts, and will be able to shield his own mind from other telepaths with time and practice. His range is limited, but can be boosted with Cerebro like equipment, and can be blocked by certain materials, which for the Barge won't mean much unless Erik comes in with his helmet.


AS A DISCLAIMER, I WILL ALWAYS ASK FIRST BEFORE CHARLES DOES ANYTHING, AND HE WILL GENERALLY ASK FIRST BEFORE BUTTING IN. Anything you'd like to add about either of these scenarios? Riddick will be deeply suspicious and resist any intrusion into his mind. He has some sort of rudimentary, instinctive defense against psychic attacks, but it isn't honed and won't stand up to skilled manipulation.

If yes, are there any specific circumstances where this is NOT okay? All situations are good. The more focused on combat/other tasks Riddick is, the harder/more painful he is to get a read on. This is my interpretation of whatever the hell happened in Chronicles of Riddick with the quasi-dead.
