THIRTEEN ✖ VOICE
[Hi Barge. Charles sounds kind of irked when he turns on the feed, which for affected people should not really be all that unfamiliar or surprising. Flood!Charles is kind of an angry, quiet but soapboxy and very anti-human guy.]
In light of recent events, I've been doing a bit of thinking about some of the worlds I've learned about here, and about how people respond when I tell them about my mutation. [Except as far as he's concerned, he does this soapboxing a lot since coming here so. This is really not out of the ordinary. Sort of.] Why should we have to hide what we're capable of for the comfort and convenience of others? Why should we be denied full use of our abilities here, by wardens or by the Admiral when he strands us in port?
We shouldn't have to be afraid of what we're capable of just because it makes other people uncomfortable, and none of us should be denied what's rightfully ours just because we're not human. [Which is coming out a little bit like a curse word. :V]
Frankly, it makes me uncomfortable to know I'm stuck here with a bunch of humans who will never be able to understand what it's like to be one of us, and instead of bothering to try, have just decided we're all a threat to their safety. All that proves to me is that you're all the same, and you wouldn't hesitate to wipe us out, and I, for one, am not willing to give you that chance.
Merlin, Morgana, you should stand up for yourselves. All of you should be willing to fight for what's rightfully ours, instead of blindly following along and hoping these Homo sapiens will realize the error of their ways.
[ooc: Charles is totally affected, and since his most defining trait is the whole KILLING WILL NOT BRING YOU PEACE thing he is now PEACE WAS NEVER AN OPTION. Meaning he is basically Erik this weekendand I'm not sure why he's a warden still >>; and will be apologizing like crazy when all this is over. :C]

Private
[Scrad says. Charlie continues:]
Although tentacle lady sounds hot.
Re: Private
Private
Hey, don't ask us. All we know is: a fellow non-human asked for info, and we gave it.
[Charlie blurts:]
In exchange for protection.
Private
And you know Kay's helped more aliens than he's killed, right?
Private
[Charlie quips wryly. And he probably doesn't mean to imply that they are hopelessly stupid, but: there you are. Scrad looks anxious. He says:]
Like I said: that Narvin guy tracked us down; asked for any inside intel we had on Kay. We told him what we know, because he said he'd keep Kay off our back, which: so far, so good.
[Charlie adds:]
The guy keeps asking if we're okay. It's reaaaaaaaaaally weird.
Re: Private
And Narvin was my warden, so maybe you're like...a grandinmate to him.
Private
[Charlie asks.]
Re: Private
Private
[Scrad asks.]
Private
Private
[Charlie asks.]
Private
Private
[Scrad asks, slowly, as if that would help.]
Re: Private
Private
Shouldn't that be your job?
Re: Private

You're the boss, boss.
