[The feed clicks on to reveal a blonde teenager instead of Charles, who straightens the camera out once she realizes it's working and smiles maybe a little nervously at it, mostly because all of this is really, really weird and she's not really sure what to expect. Also these journals are way more advanced than things from 1962, so there's that fun little hurdle too.] Um, hi! I'm Raven, I guess I'm here for my brother, Charles? [She sounds maybe a little unsure, but she's skimmed through the network a tiny bit and this seems like the sort of thing people would post about, so she's just going to go with it.] I don't really know what he's doing on a prison ship. I mean, the work you guys do sounds nice and everything, but I'd never really thought of him going into psychiatry on a space ship. [Which just tops the weird charts, in her book if we're really being serious here.] He's too much of an old fart to do anything that interesting. [Teasing.] Anyway, I don't know how long I'm going to be here, but if anyone's looking for him, I can probably take a message. [ooc: Replies will be coming from ![]() |

[long pause] I mean I don't suggest teaching unless people really like kids or have a high tolerance for strenuous keeping up with people's bullshit, but "doing what makes you happy" is a good answer because if you're happy-you have everything you need.
[What she leaves out is that if you're happy and you have everything you need then you will be less inclined to take from others. At least that's what she's found.]

[she laughs.] I'm sorry, It gets hard to slip out of teaching mode. I tend to treat everybody like one of my high school kids.
