[Someone's been keeping an eye on Kelsier's post, and he's definitely noticed that things seem to be getting sort of out of control. He's concerned, and decides to shoot Zane a message.]

Things are great, thanks. [She realises that if she can see him, he can probably see her, and she glances down at herself.] I - didn't exactly dress for company today, but...great.

But how are you, anyway? It's been a couple years, over here.

I'm doing well. A couple years? It's only been a few months for us.

[psychic_hotline]

Months? That's -

[There's a gurgling sound from off-camera, and Sara looks over for a moment before looking back at her phone.]

Hold that thought.

[She gets up and disappears, and comes back carrying a baby girl - a year old or so, with Sara's dark hair and brown eyes. She sits down carefully and sets her daughter on her lap, making sure the phone's out of curious grabby reach.]

...so now you know why I'm looking so glamorous today.

[Charles looks surprised, but it quickly turns into a huge smile.]

That's incredible! How old is she?

Just gone thirteen months. Say hi, Hope.

[Hope makes some babbling noises; Sara smiles and bounces her gently on her knee.]

...she's not really up for saying hi, yet. We're getting there.

[Charles waves, feeling vaguely absurd, but, well. People act ridiculous around babies all the time.]

She's adorable. Congratulations, Sara, that's really wonderful.

Thanks. She wasn't - planned, exactly, but...life is what happens, right?

[She shrugs with one shoulder.]

How's life treating you, anyway?

That's certainly been my experience. [Which is how he wound up playing house with his weird little family.]

It's been... interesting. We just got back from a fairly unusual port, but most of us are at least in one piece. Otherwise, there's not much to report. Jean and Alex have both helped their inmates graduate.

Hey, that's great. Have they stuck around, or...?

[Because really you can't blame anybody for getting right the hell out of it when the opportunity presents itself.]

Alex has. [And he's wondering if he will until he and Erik get out of here, which is somewhere between sweet and troubling.] Jean went home a few days ago to be sure her deal was successful, and she seemed to want to return, but you know how these things go.

[She might be back tomorrow, or a month from now, or never, and if she did, she might not remember them at all.]
