[Charles sounds tired - and anyone who was in the infirmary right after port ended might have noticed him hovering while people tried to help Zane - but otherwise, actually pretty okay.]
I know we're all exhausted and in need of some relaxation, but if everyone wouldn't mind letting me know you got out alright, I'd appreciate it. And if there's anything I can do for any of you, don't hesitate to let me know.

[Getting his telepathy back felt like he'd been unblindfolded, and while he had noticed the change immediately, in the first minutes back on the Barge, he hadn't had time to appreciate it. The focus was instead on saving Zane's life, and it wasn't until he was stable and unconscious that Charles had the time to reach out with his gift and reassure himself that they were back, they had made it out, and so had the people he cared about.
He'd checked on the kids first, reassured himself that they were in one piece and mostly in need of rest before anything else, and reassured them that he just needed much of the same before looking for Erik.
It's not difficult. His mind had almost instinctively wrapped itself around the familiar presence as soon as it had been established that Zane would be alright, and so Charles catches up to his friend as Erik's coming down from the deck, a relieved smile immediately stretching across his face as he gets his first good look at him.]
This might be the ultimate instance of the pot calling the kettle black, [Because he knows he's got some cuts on his face and other minor injuries from their time in port, too.] but you look like you're about to fall over.
[ooc: Filter includes but is not limited to the immediate X-Fam, Zane, Merlin, Arthur, Morgana, Anya, Pietro, Barbara, Tony, Kelsier, the Emperor, Ivy, and even you, Felix. Basically anyone Charles is friendly with or would have reason to check up with, idk I'm always bad with these filters and end up forgetting someone. /o\
Also, feel free to spam him if you want! He'll probably be pretty unconscious for the first day and a half afterward, but will be up and around after that.]

Do I, [he drawls, and once Charles is in reach, he stretches out an arm to clap the other man on the shoulder.] Maybe I am. Suppose that means you'll have to hold me up.
[The smile fades a little, and he takes a moment to look at Charles, really look at him.] Everything's all right?
[spam]
You know I'm more than happy to, although at this point, I'm afraid it might be a little more like the blind leading the blind. [The question almost catches him off guard, and he looks back at Erik, worry and concern bubbling up, before being replaced by sudden... confusion.] I'm alright. Honestly.
[Which is so weird, considering what they've been through, that he really was okay. Zane would be alright. Erik and the kids were safe. He'd gotten through this despite not having his telepathy.] I'm just glad you and the kids are okay. [He hesitates a beat.] You are alright? I hear your voice over the communicator, but I couldn't get a message to you.
[spam]
I am. I tried to get in contact, but...[He shakes his head.] The radios failed more often than not.
[spam]
He claps Erik's shoulder and starts trying to work up the enthusiasm to start walking again.]
Come on, I'm exhausted. You can borrow my shower.
[spam]
Have I mentioned lately that I appreciate your generosity?
[spam]
Have I ever mentioned how exceptionally inspirational you are?
[spam]
Inspirational? [Yeah that's disbelief.]
What are you talking about?
[spam]
You've been through so much in your life, Erik, and while some people might have chose to let it completely destroy them, you picked yourself up and refused to let it beat you down. And even despite what's happened, you're an exceptional friend and an excellent teacher, and that's something to be respected.
I feel a little foolish admitting to this, but when things get difficult - like they did in port - I often find myself thinking what you would do or how you wouldn't just give up. You've helped me become a stronger person than I was before we met.
[tl;dr you're basically his personal hero, even despite the whole peace was never an option thing.]
[spam]
He lets his head drop momentarily, because what. How. And eventually he shakes it, a slightly astounded smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.]
You wouldn't just give up either, Charles. [Erik squeezes his shoulder.] I never thought you were weak.
[By which he means, thank you, but dude you're kind of a role model too]
[spam]
Flatterer. [He knows he was weaker in some ways, and they'd both seen what would happen if they'd never met. There was no way he'd have been able to take on Shaw by himself.
It was actually sort of strange, to think of how perfectly they wound up complimenting each other. They'd both grown up a lot.] You're an exceptional person, Erik, and I'm incredibly proud I can consider you a friend.
[spam]
So am I.
[spam]
It's a pretty bleak one.]
Come on, I'm dying to get out of this flight suit. [And once they're in front of his cabin, he's giving Erik a look like do you want to or should I, because he knows casual use of his powers after something like this is something Erik finds comfort in.]
[spam]
You shower first. I'm going to grab some clothes. [Because he needs out of this thing, too.]
[spam]
If exhaustion gets the better of me and I collapse on the floor, I'll try to let you know. [He's mostly teasing.]

[He ends up taking a fast shower, because while he could probably stand to stand under the spray for a long time, he's more tired than anything else, and he knows Erik needs to use it, too, so he's out, mostly toweled off and in clean pajamas about five minutes later. He gives Erik a tired smile when he spots him.]
All yours.
[spam]
I'm going to sleep. [He smiles a little ruefully.] Don't come knocking for at least a day, and I promise to leave you alone for two.
[spam]
You could just sleep here if you want, I'm certainly not planning on getting up any time soon. And I don't need to be left alone for two, I'm fine, honestly. Just a bit tired. [But still plenty wordy.]
[spam]
What are you wearing?
[spam]
You got it for me for Christmas.

I know it's a little garish, but it's comfortable and warm, and I like it. [And he is settling back down on the couch because sitting up officially requires too much effort right now.] It also has sleeves.
