[Charles has been kind of incognito for the last couple days, but sounds pretty normal, if kind of tired when he turns on the feed and gets right to the point. No science lectures today, just business.]

I'm sure most of you have noticed the new filter that's been added since we returned from Wonderland. It seems to allow people with supernatural abilities to be able to use those abilities in other people's rooms while the door's closed, thus canceling out the effect of whatever dampening mechanism the Admiral's put into place on private areas of the ship.

The other person needs to add you to their filter for you to be able to access their room. It won't work both ways if only one person adds someone to their filter. [And it seems like wardens immediately have access to their inmate's rooms, but he's too out of it to want to get into an argument with people about the ethics behind that or what it means, and he knows how you people like to argue.]

I'm alright. [He's doing better than he was, so it doesn't even feel like a lie. Admittedly, pretty much anything is better than hysterically sobbing on the floor, but he is working on it.] What did you think of the network disturbance?

It was... [She can't help but grin.] I really loved meeting Alex and Sean. And Raven.

[He smiles back, because that's really the only pro he can think of to having any one of them on board, that they'd get to meet Jean. The rest of it, he'd be happy to shield them from for as long as humanly possible.] I'm glad you got a chance to speak with them.

[Her voice is warm and fond.] They remind me of the boys.

[Then her smile fades, a little, in favour of gentle concern.] How were you, seeing them?

Fine. I miss them, obviously, but they're safe, so I can't quite find it in me to really complain about it. And it sounds as if they're more or less taking care of themselves in my absence, so I suppose that's one less thing to worry about.

[Not that it had really been a genuine concern, especially because time wasn't supposed to pass while he was gone. They shouldn't even notice he'd ever left in the first place.

He wasn't touching the Raven issue though. B(]
