[Patrick looks a little exasperated, running a hand through his hair and sighing a bit before addressing the cast. He's heading from one side of the set to the other, looking for Michael so they can talk about this issue.]

Have there been any updates on how long it's going to be until it's safe to try heading off set? I'm afraid I've just received a phone call informing me my son just bit a classmate in the middle of a game of kick ball. [Spoiler Alert: It was Lucas, gdi.] Apparently at least one of us is being asked to attend a parent/teacher conference about the incident. Understandably. [Kids, you know how it is. :\]

Speaking of which, do we have enough food we've actually got on hand? I'd like to think we won't be stuck here much longer, but I'd hate to see this dissolve into some Lord of the Flies scenario over not having enough pastries to go around.

[ooc: Charles is Patrick McAvoy, who used to be a pretty highly respected Shakespearean/stage actor who quasi reluctantly agreed to play Charles on TLV after some convincing from his agent/a few interested parties. He's married to costar Michael McKlellan, and they have four kids: Lucas, Jennifer, Nicholas and Caleb, who he talks about every so often. He's very focused on being professional, but is also a pretty nice guy who's grown to really like working on the show. And he's Scottish.]

Ah, the biting' age. The littles are almost there. Lilly's oldest just picked up 'no,' too. [Mac has children-- and some very young grandchildren, which is both amazing and makes him feel his age.]

I don't think craft services is runnin' on fumes, but we can always barbecue next week's scripts if it comes to it. 'Nough ham and cheese for an army. [Said very good naturedly.]

That's a wonderful phase. [All the sarcasm, omg. No is the worst word. :|]

And I suppose that's better than cannibalism.

We wound up telling Lilly she'd get a belly ache if she kept trying to eat people. Can't say it worked. Wonder if she tries it on her kids. [But a fond smile, looking back along the decades.]

The Producer's given us slipshod sets and eleventh hour rewrites, but I don't know that he's killed anyone in the history of the show. I'm sure there's something to eat. The Atkins folk're gonna have to tighten their belts if we get down to the cafeteria's instant oatmeal, though.

So they just get sneakier about when they're attempting to take a bite out of people? [God help us. :C] We didn't have this problem with Jennifer, when she was his age.

I suppose there's always sending a plane to drop supplies, if the situation gets really dire.

Seems to be a middle child thing. Course Tyler was a serious little kid, more'n most oldest children. He's no guide.

...Say Patrick, this couldn't be some kind of publicity stunt, could it? Funny timing, the Producer's a funny guy.

Nicholas is more interested in reading anything he can get his hands on. I'm just grateful Caleb hasn't been imitating Lucas's behavior yet. [Because he will and then there will be a redheaded biting menace on the loose. :|]

I wouldn't put it past him, I suppose. Although I don't know how a stunt like this would boost the ratings.
