He apparently came up with the idea, but didn't realize Mr. Stark was planning on killing him or that he was drunk at the time. [And despite the fact that he's trying to keep his voice level and calm, there is definitely some disappointment leaking through there.] He did try to talk Mr. Stark out of doing anything to me, and apparently was sidetracked before going after Loki.
