Exactly. So I'd say that and making sure he stays on the wagon are really the two biggest goals moving forward, and hopefully once they're both resolved - or, at least, are better controlled - he'll be ready to graduate. [Which was easier said than done, really, but Charles was confident Tony would figure it out eventually. He might not let himself believe it, and apparently was hell bent on trying to prove people who believed in him wrong, but Charles knew he was a good man, and he would stubbornly try to hammer that point home.]
If it helps, I honestly do think things are improving. He's been willing to accept responsibility for projects and look out for other people, and things between him and Erik have been much better in terms of open antagonism. [Which... maybe had more to do with Charles sort of - with Tony's permission - making him understand what Erik had gone through, but. Anyway.] Obviously I can't rule out a backslide or anything, but overall I'm fairly pleased with how things have developed.
