No? I'd call the Haitian revolution a success. The Serbian revolution, as well. The Caste Wars may not have led to an independent state for the Maya, ultimately, but I'd certainly say they forced reform.

If it's at all possible to enact change peacefully - and of course it can be - then that's the best course to take. But what's left to people when even peaceful protest is met with brutality? [Her voice rises, sharpens.] When children are gunned down in the streets, just because they want to be heard?

[It's not a situation she's been in, not directly. But Oracle has access to the entire world, and she's seen the desperation of so many people. It's one of the few times she truly feels helpless, because there's only so much she can do.]

Sometimes fighting for a better life - a better world - means making sacrifices.
