Yes, well, it's not so difficult to win hearts and minds. To use your own example, no, I don't doubt the average man on the street would say out loud that women are the lesser sex. And yet, by my 'modern day', women take eighty per cent of the pay a man will be given for the same work. They run fewer than twenty of the country's largest five hundred companies and make up less than a quarter of either the Senate or the House Of Representatives. Children of both sexes are raised in a culture that teaches that a woman's only measurable value is in her body and her sexual availability.

The war not only continues, it is intolerably dragged out and made yet more insidious by popular insistence that the fight is won and any woman claiming otherwise is necessarily a vicious, man-hating psychopath. That is not 'peace'. That is being stripped of the ability to keep fighting and watching as your daughters are told that that's what you wanted all along.

But as you say, my situation's a bit different. Metahumans - mutants - are or are considered a new phenomenon in your world, isn't that right?
